What to Expect: Psychological Testing

We know that starting the testing process can feel overwhelming. Here is exactly what to expect, every step of the way.

01

Before Your Evaluation

Once you schedule your evaluation, you will receive intake paperwork including developmental history forms, behavioral questionnaires, and release of information forms. We encourage you to bring any previous evaluations, school records, or medical documents. The more context we have, the more accurate your results will be.

02

During Your Evaluation

Testing takes place over one or more appointments depending on the evaluation type. Our psychologists use structured interviews, standardized assessments, behavioral observations, and questionnaires. For children, a parent or caregiver interview is also conducted. Our goal is to make the process feel comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free.

03

After Your Evaluation

Our psychologists will prepare a comprehensive written report including findings, formal diagnoses if applicable, and detailed recommendations. You will then meet for a feedback session to review results together and discuss next steps. We make sure you leave with clarity and a plan.
