Mt. Airy Psychological Services

Our Services

Evidence-based therapy and psychological testing for individuals, couples, and families — delivered with compassion and care.

We are not a general therapy practice. We are a specialty practice focused on the relationships and systems that shape your life — from early attachment and parenting to couples connection and psychological clarity. Whether you're seeking answers, repairing connection, or building healthier patterns, we offer a connected, whole-family approach at every stage of life.

Core Specialty

Relationship Repair

Couples therapy is one of our core specialties. We help partners navigate communication breakdown, emotional disconnection, conflict cycles, and trust repair in a safe, judgment-free environment. This is deep, ongoing relational work — not a quick fix. If your relationship matters to you, we're here for the long haul.

Psychological Testing & Evaluations

At Mt. Airy Psychological Services, we provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Whether you're seeking answers about attention, learning, autism, trauma, anxiety, or other emotional or behavioral concerns, our evaluations are designed to provide diagnostic clarity and practical recommendations.

Not sure which evaluation you need? That's okay — we'll help determine the most appropriate evaluation during your initial consultation.

ADHD Evaluation

Best for: Individuals experiencing concerns with attention, focus, executive functioning, organization, or impulsivity. Includes a comprehensive clinical interview, standardized assessment measures, rating scales, and diagnostic interpretation, with a detailed written report and individualized recommendations for school, work, and treatment.

Autism Spectrum Evaluation

Best for: Children, adolescents, and adults seeking diagnostic clarification regarding Autism Spectrum Disorder. Includes a comprehensive clinical interview, standardized autism assessment measures, behavioral observations, and diagnostic recommendations, with a detailed written report to support treatment planning.

Psychoeducational Evaluation

Best for: Students experiencing academic difficulties or concerns about learning disabilities. Assesses cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and learning processes, with recommendations for educational planning, accommodations, and services, including 504 Plans and IEPs when appropriate.

Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation

Best for: Individuals seeking diagnostic clarification for emotional, behavioral, personality, trauma-related, or complex psychological concerns, including anxiety, trauma/PTSD, depression, OCD, emotional regulation difficulties, personality functioning, or overlapping conditions. Each evaluation is individualized and may include cognitive, personality, emotional/behavioral, trauma, executive functioning, or neuropsychological screening measures as clinically indicated.

Not Sure Which Evaluation You Need?

You don't have to figure it out on your own. During your initial consultation, we'll discuss your concerns, review your history, and recommend the evaluation that will best answer your referral questions. If a more comprehensive evaluation is needed, we'll discuss this with you before testing begins.

Why Choose Mt. Airy Psychological Services?

Unlike many high-volume testing centers, our evaluations are individualized — not one-size-fits-all. We carefully select assessment measures based on each client's unique concerns, allowing us to provide accurate diagnoses, meaningful recommendations, and personalized guidance for treatment, school, work, and daily functioning.
